Education/Experience:

Lou is a Certified Biblical Counselor who has been serving women and couples for over 15 years in the areas of marriage, divorce (including running women’s divorce care support programs), blended family issues, remarriage, elder caregiver issues, grief/loss, and life transitions - offering hope and healing that comes from applying God’s word to everyday life.

Interests & Specialties

Lou has been serving in lay ministry and care roles for over 35 years serving churches in the Dallas Fort Worth area and in East Texas.  She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Stephen F. Austin State University and is a certified Speech Pathologist and teacher. 

She has served in a broad range of pastoral care roles to include premarital care, marriage care, divorce recovery, redemption groups, home group leadership and coaching, ladies bible study group leader, blended family care, young women mentoring, individual and couples care.   Lou, along with her husband, Ron, are lay leaders in Marriage and Redemption ministries for their Acts 29 church.

Lou has her Level 1 Certification from the Association of Biblical Counselors (ABC).

Personal

Lou, and her husband, Ron have been married for 24 years, blending their families to include 6 adult children and 23 grandchildren.    They enjoy reading, camping, pickleball, health & fitness, Colorado, and spending time with family and friends. Lou also is a dog lover and certified trainer.
